FLOORING SAMPLES: READ THIS IF YOU'RE CONSIDERING NEW FLOORING

If you are considering new flooring options for your home, business, or other location: STOP! The one thing you must do before committing to an option is to see samples where they’re going to be installed.

…okay, is it actually required that you view samples before you get new floors? Of course not! But it is certainly very helpful when making a final decision. All the digital mock-ups and in-store viewings won’t do justice to the natural and artificial light, wall paint choices, transition spaces, and other elements of your space. This is why we eagerly encourage all prospective customers to take free samples, or to let us bring sample books to in to your space.

Let’s visit our sample rack of grey carpets in the warehouse to learn a little more. “Gee, that’s a lot of grey carpet!” Yes, yes it is. Grey is, by far, the most popular color, but we’ll get in to that another day.

This rack contains free samples that we encourage clients to take with them and experience them in the different conditions throughout the day.

I took three different grey samples for a small walk around our warehouse to show how the slightest changes in settings can have a big impact on how carpet looks.

As you can see, these neutral colors take on many different tones and shades depending on where they are. Here are some thoughtful questions to ask yourself when you’re making your flooring choices:

-What time of day will I be spending the most amount of time in this space?
-What sort of lighting will be in this space?
-Will the furniture or other fixtures impact the flooring?
-Is this flooring going to compliment the wall colors?
